(Dayton's aunt)
I chose the song “Somewhere in Your Silent Night” by Casting Crowns because it is a tender reminder that Jesus is my Savior. He understands me and my struggles, and He will always be available to me — whether I need to cry, complain, or rejoice with Him. He is with me in my silent nights and in my loud, busy days.
I also chose “A Soldier’s King” for one reason alone: I love Donny Osmond — always have, always will — and he sings this ballad so beautifully. It’s a very tender story told through music.
I love Christmas because everyone is so focused on the Savior and so giving. I wish the whole year were like this, but life gets crowded with other thoughts and duties. As I age, I’ve found myself trying harder to keep the Savior in my daily life, to remember Him more often, and to try to be more like Him. I love Him more each day as I study His life and teachings.
Merry Christmas to all of you, and may the peace the Savior brings be with you.
