Kyle:
“Grown-Up Christmas List” is such a beautiful song in the sense that it captures the heart of what Christmas — and Christ — are all about. Instead of focusing on gifts or things we want, it talks about wishing for peace, healing, and love — the very things Jesus came to bring into our world. The lyrics remind us to think beyond ourselves and care for others, just as Christ taught us to do.
Madi:
This Christmas, as I hold my own baby boy in my arms, the song “Mary, Did You Know?” moves me more deeply than ever before. It helps me imagine the awe and wonder Mary must have felt as she looked into the face of her tiny, perfect, and innocent Son — the Savior of the world. That little baby, so pure and fragile, carried the greatest gift humanity would ever receive: hope, redemption, and endless love.
Thinking of Mary’s faith and tenderness reminds me of the sacred calling of motherhood and the strength it takes to love so completely. As I gaze at my own child, I feel a deeper connection to Mary's story and to the miracle of Christ’s birth. This season, I’m reminded not only of how special Jesus is, but of the kind of mother and person I hope to be — raising my son to walk in His light, to be selfless, kind, caring, strong, and faithful, just as Mary’s precious baby grew to be.
