Jesus is the Christ. Jesus is the reason for this Christmas season. Christmas is a wonderful time of year to celebrate the birth of our Savior and Redeemer.
I enjoy the song “Love Is Alive” because it reminds me of the sacrificial love of Jesus’ earthly parents and the humble beginnings of His earthly life. It is a reminder for me to practice the two great commandments: to love God and to love my neighbor. It’s also a great reminder to practice humility and other Christlike attributes, and to take upon myself Jesus’ name—to try a little harder to serve, love, and minister to “the one,” just as our Savior did in His earthly ministry and continues to do today.
We all need Jesus—His love, His teachings, and His Atonement. Jesus is my personal Savior and Advocate; He is also your personal Savior and Advocate. I know that because of what Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, I can receive forgiveness of my sins. Jesus succors me—He is there for my highest of highs and lowest of lows, and everywhere in between. I know that all that is unfair about life can be made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
I love my Jesus. I look forward to celebrating, honoring, and revering Him this Christmas season. My hope and prayer is that you and I can grow and strengthen our relationship and witness of Jesus Christ—His gospel and His divine mission in our lives—this Christmas season.
May God bless you. Merry Christmas!
